The inception of the Mantis platform was born. With a dream of developing the ultimate lightweight electric dirt bike platform, the R&D for the Mantis began.
Designed by legendary motorcycle designers from Italy, the iconic "Z" frame took shape.
The newly designed frame underwent extensive testing. With over 50,000 jumps and 20,000 miles of riding, the bike proved it performed as good as it looked.
Based on feedback from real motocross racers, final revisions were made and the tooling for mass production began.
Testing of real production samples started with promising results. The production process was refined to provide the best product possible.
The world finally got to see what Rawrr was building for the past 3 years. The 60V Mantis was finally available for purchase.
But Rawrr wasn't satisfied. Behind the scenes, something special was in the works. Riders wanted more power. So it was time for Rawrr to deliver.
The 72V Mantis released, marking the start of the second generation of Mantis. An evolution of the 60V platform, pushing more power and refined frame construction for extra strength. All while retaining industry leading range. Early reviews of the 72V platform were praising the impressive performance, light weight frame, and nimble handling.
Being confident that they'll make a splash in the powersports industry, Rawrr needed to look the part. With a new logo that fits their serious pedigree, Rawrr looks and performs as a true powersports company.
The evolution wasn't done there. Rawrr introduced the Mantis X, a mid-sized electric dirt bike. A smaller, lighter, more nimble and more balenced bike than the Mantis, while still retaining the motorsports DNA of the original.
Rawrr introduced the Mantis Mini. The world's first true electric pit bike. While being aimed around kids, the Mini was no scooter. The Mini had serious power and off-road capability.
Rawrr wasn't done there. With 3 generations of distruptive innovation under their belt, they put their heads down and got to work on the next generation of bikes to come.
Marking the beginning of the fourth generation of Mantis: Rawrr unveiled the Mini R at AIM Expo in Las Vegas.

The Mini R jumps the specs substantially, providing a much higher ceiling than the 48V Mini. Going from 48V to 72V, 3500W to 6000W, 30 mph to 46 mph. And being delivered in 2 sizes, a 12x14" wheel setup and a 14x17" wheel setup, with the ability to swap wheel sizes post purchase.
The Mantis X platform got some nice updates. The refined platform included a new in-house designed linkage to improve handling and suspension performance, new rear wheel hubs, and a more refined manufacturing process to improve strength. All new Mantis X models would include these changes, but these changes were in preparation for something big coming.
A massive step up for the X platform, the X Pro was unveiled. An upgrade worthy of its name. With 15kW of peak power and 65 mph top speed, the X Pro earned the "Pro" moniker. And it launched at a truly disruptive price, delivering performance well above it's competitors.
Emoto racing took off big in Southern California. Rawrr started competing in races at Glen Helen Raceway, Perris Raceway and Lake Elsinore Raceway. Taking 1st place in multiple classes, Rawrr showcased that their bikes punch above their price class.
